I grew up on a diversified farm. I loved it. We raised animals and grew corn, wheat oats, and alfalfa. The “animals” consisted of cows, pigs and chickens. We milked cows, too.
My sister and I nearly always walked to school. It was a country school about ¾ mile away. My sister was 1 year ahead of me. One afternoon we came home to a surprise. We were getting a milking machine! I think I was in the 7th grade.
I also had a brother and a younger sister. They didn’t get to experience the “country” school because it closed shortly after I completed the 8th grade.
Even though I attended college and served in the Army, I still remained active in farming. I suffered an accident in 1967 and my right leg had to be amputated. Continuing to farm on a prosthesis, I was married 10 months later. We stayed on the farm until our youngest completed high school .
It was 1992 when we took a big, bold step and moved to Kansas. I joined a group of commodity brokers and also became interested in Internet Marketing. I made every mistake possible…..joining starup companies and companies in pre-launch.
Finally, in 2009, I joined an established company…..Shaklee. The Vivix (anti-aging) attracted me to Shaklee, but there is so much more. There is nutrition, weight control, skin care, and get clean products. All are produced from nature. They are always safe, always green, and they always work. If a person is not satisfied with a product for any reason, their money is refunded.
So even though I’m not on the farm, I feel close to nature with Shaklee. I hope to help many people by improving their health and showing them the opportunity to start their own Shaklee business.
